Laura's Holiday Card - 2017

As soon as we finished designing a holiday card for 2016, Laura was already brainstorming ideas for 2017. She and her husband wanted to show off their favorite holiday movies and it was a blast coming up with the best ways to do that. I did some creative Photoshopping with movie posters and headshots of each of their family members and this was the final result.

I absolutely LOVE how it turned out!!

Laura's Holiday Card - 2016

Laura comes up with the most FUN holiday cards every year. She gets creative with photography and I'm always happy to add in my skills with Photoshop too. Check out her cards from 2014 and 2015 too!!

For 2016, there was a lot of brainstorming with Laura wanting to show both the good and seemingly bad to some Christmas traditions. Below is the final result.

I’m betting that getting her kids to cooperate was the HARDEST part of this project.

Holiday Cards 2019

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and I had holiday cards on my mind this weekend. I’ve been playing with watercolor elements lately and created these new holiday cards. They’re all listed in my Etsy shop along with a bunch of favorites from past years. Clicking on each photo will take you to its listing on Etsy.

This one below here has accents in gold glitter! I think I’m going to have to make another one or two that also have that fun glitter.

Hoping to add some more if my kids and time lets me.

Janet & Jack's 50th Anniversary

My dear friend, Krista was helping with the planning of a celebration for her in-laws’ 50th wedding anniversary. We were brainstorming some table signage ideas for this travel-themed event when I brought up the idea of making a custom cootie catcher for the party. Janet and Jack have traveled all over the world and visited all of the continents, so creating a travel-themed cootie catcher was a perfect little accessory to add to the tablescape. I used world maps for background images and rather than add fortunes to the inside panels, I found some travel-themed trivia questions. It was so fun to make!! I matched the fonts that Krista used on the invitation that she created and voile!

Custom Jam Labels

At the end of every summer, I buy a big box of Utah peaches and turn them into jam. It’s one of my favorite jams ever and I look forward to making it every year. Nothing is more satisfying that hearing that POP as the jars seal after sweating over a pot of molten fruit and sugar.

Every year I create a custom label and this year my kids wanted input on the design. They loved the label I made a couple of years ago with the dancing peach and “That’s my peach jam” wording. This year they said the peach needed to be a disc jockey with headphones. After I was done laughing, I got to work figuring out how to turn a vector drawing of a peach into a DJ. Both of my boys approved how it turned out. Mom win! They are looking forward to giving a jar to their teachers.

One friend of ours got her own custom label this year. Hee hee hee She’s very possessive over her annual peach jam.

Both of these new labels have been added to my Etsy shop and can be customized with your name and whatever fruit jam or jelly you’re making.
