I wanted to share some of the ads I created for Family Forest Fest over the last few years. They’re pretty awesome and worth checking out. They were able to get some of these ads into some Oregon and Ohio family magazines and websites. I think one or two were printed into flyers too. This event looks like so much fun, I need to see what the drive would be like to get out to Alsea, OR from Utah with my kids!
*ETA 11/2020, since they are no longer holding events, their website is no longer up. These looked like such fun events for the two years they happened. Maybe someday the founders can try again. You can see some photos and an update on why they stopped on their Facebook page.
Amanda & Danny's Baby Shower
Amanda and Danny are expecting their first baby! To celebrate they had a co-ed baby shower that included elements from Star Wars, Harry Potter and Dr. Who. I was thrilled to create some printed elements for the party.
Custom invitation:
Can you spot all of the references from the three different fandoms? Elder Wand, owl & baby drawing, Marauder’s Map footprints, and chapter stars from Harry Potter. Doctor Who quote and Tardis, fonts, light sabre, and Chewbaca’s bandolier from Star Wars. The background also features Gryffindor and Ravenclaw house scarves and a scarf from Dr. Who. Amanda had the invitations printed with Snapfish.
I created a pennant banner with a fun, space background.
Some of the pennants had elements from the themes. This one had the Ford Anglia from Harry Potter. One also had Dr. Who’s Tardis, and others had a Millennium Falcon and an Tie fighter from Star Wars.
I created these favor tags too.
For the front door I created this fun welcome sign. It includes lots of elements from the invitation.
Congrats to you both and I can’t wait to meet your little boy!
Juliana's 5th Birthday
Juliana had a sweet party at a petting zoo for her 5th birthday. Her mom, Kelly really didn’t want to do a cowgirl or a farm theme, so we created this cute invitation with lots of farm animals and a lovely photo of the birthday girl herself.
I hope your party was lots of fun Juliana, happy birthday!
Bev and Jon
My dear cousin Bev got married to Jon a year ago this week and I was honored to create their wedding invitations. They were planning to use lavender as one of the primary flowers, so we used a lavender design on the printed items for the big day. Here’s their invitation:
They invitations were printed at my local Office Depot and backed with metallic card stock in the color Violette from Cards & Pockets.
Invitations were mailed in metallic envelopes in the Light Amethyst color from Cards & Pockets. As a surprise to Bev and Jon, I had a custom return address stamp made with Kelly from Hello World Stamps. This one got a little smudged, but it was my last of the purple envelopes!
We also made a sign for the front door of the wedding venue, it was backed with the same Violette card stock as the invitations:
For favors, they stuck their favorite candies into lavender mesh bags and included mini bottles of liquor, yum! We created a sticker for the tops of the mini mason jars.
Lastly, Bev’s stepdad is a winemaker and bottled a bunch of his Old Vine Zinfandel for the wedding and asked me to design a custom label as a surprise to Bev and Jon. I love how it turned out!
I love how everything turned our for your beautiful wedding, congrats on your first anniversary!!
Aubrey's 7th Birthday
When Jamie was planning her daughter’s 7th birthday party, she wanted a Wonder Woman theme, but Jamie wasn’t in love with the designs she was seeing at her local party store. She and I chatted about custom options, but I don’t have a license to use logos and artwork from Wonder Woman, so we created this Wonder Woman-inspired birthday invitation with a comic book vibe and I really love how it turned out!
Happy happy birthday Aubrey!
